Itinerary
Day 1 – Flight to India (New Delhi)
Arrive at Delhi by international flight. A traditional welcome by our representatives at the airport, transferred to hotel for check-in and overnight stay at hotel in New Delhi.
Day 2 – New Delhi Sightseeing
After Breakfast, You will leave for a guided tour of Delhi, beginning with a sightseeing trip to Old Delhi and followed by visits to the Red Fort built in 1648, India’s largest mosque – Jama Masjid, and Gandhi Memorial at Raj Ghat. Late afternoon tour includes a visit to the India Gate, President’s House, Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple, and Qutab Minar. Overnight stay in a hotel in Delhi.
Day 3 – New Delhi to Bhubaneshwar (By air)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Bhubaneshwar. It is considered the most sacred city in Orissa. Bhubaneshwar meaning The Lord of the universe, is the modern capital city of the State Orissa. on arrival at the Biju Patnaik Airport, you are transferred to the hotel. Bhubaneshwar was once known as the city of temples, around 7000 were built between 8th and 13th centuries. Overnight stay at Hotel in Bhubneshwar.
Day 4 – Bhubaneshwar – Konark – Puri
After Breakfast, we will witness some of the finest examples of classical temple architecture. This would include Lingraj, Rajrani, and Mukteshwar temples, later we drive through the tropical coastal area to the famous temples of Konark. It was once the centre for Buddhism in India , but now it is famous for the Hindu temples . like The world famous Surya Temple, which is dedicated to God Surya (Sun). In the 13th century AD King Langula Narasimha Deva built this temple. Surya temple of Konark represents a complete development of Orissian style of architecture and is the only one example in India. It being the most beautiful without any comparison. later we drive to Puri , and transferred to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Puri.
Day 5 – Puri Sightseeing
The beach city of Puri is one of the four most important pilgrimage centre for Hindus. After breakfast, we visit the famous Jagannath temple of Puri. The temple of Lord Jagannath (Hindu God Vishnu), who is believed to be the preserver of the world in Hinduism. It attracts thousands of visitors every day, particularly at the time of ‘Rath Yatra’ (the car festival). It is also referred as the white Pagoda and it accommodating 5000 priests in its premises. It’s a unique experience to observe the activities of the pilgrims visiting this temple, being one of the most sacred temples of India. Later In the afternoon we visit the Puri beach. The Puri Beach is amongst India’s finest beaches. Puri Beach attracts many tourists to India owing its beautiful beaches and religious importance. Overnight stay in hotel at Puri.
Day 6 –Puri – Tapta Pani (About 310 km)
After having breakfast we travel to Tapta Pani. Enroute we visit the famous Chilka Lake- the biggest salty water lagoon in whole of Asia , enroute also see some semi tribal villages. Overnight stay at hotel in Tapta Pani.
Day 7 – Tapta Pani – Rayagada (about 220 km)
After Breakfast we will drive to Rayagada and today experience a tribal way of life. First stop is to visit Desia Kondh Tribal Village in the Puttasingh area. later embark on a mild hiking trip to the Niyamagiri Hills for viewing the Dongaria Kondh Tribal hamlets. Return back to Rayagada and en route visit the Kutia Kondh Tribal village. Overnight stay at hotel in Rayagada .( B)
Day 8 – Rayagada – Jeypore (about 220 km)
In the morning we will drive from Rayagada to Jeypore. Stop to visit the Dongariya Kondh Tribe at Chatikona. Later In the evening we will visit market of Bonda and Godhaba Tribes. Overnight stay at Jeypore.
Day 9 – Jeypore Sightseeing
After breakfast we travel further and visit Gupteshvar Cave and Dhuruba Tribal Village. Overnight stay at Jeypore.
Day 10 – Jeypore – Bhubaneshwar – Kolkata (By air)
After Breakfast, we drive to Bhubaneshwar, to take a flight to Kolkata (formerly known as Calcutta). Kolkata is India’s largest metro city and amongst the biggest cities in South Asia. This city was once a colonial city of the British. Upon arrival, you will be met by our Travel representative and transferred to the hotel. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel in Kolkatta.
Day 11 – Kolkata
After Breakfast, we explore this vibrant and lively city during a full day tour. We begin with a visit to the Victoria Memorial and wonderful buildings in the area of Chowringhee and Dalhousie Square.Visit the Jain Temple, the Fort Williams and also the temple of Goddess Kali. we have the opportunity to visit the family house of the famous Indian writer Ravindranath Tagore in Joransanko. Overnight stay at Hotel in Kolkatta.
